The Public-Interest Technology Platform
The EPFL Cyber Group is an initiative focused on raising awareness of cybersecurity’s interconnected role across all disciplines, promoting it as a powerful force for the public good at the intersection of technology and people.
Our mission is to foster collaboration between students, academia, industry, and the public sector to drive impactful advancements in cybersecurity.
Our partnership with ETH Cyber Group establishes a collaborative framework to enhance cybersecurity education and community-building across EPFL and ETH Zurich. The groups aim to foster a unified network through resource sharing, mentorship, joint events, and collaborative projects. This cooperation promotes mutual growth while adapting successful models from ETH Cyber Group to EPFL's environment.
We offer comprehensive training sessions for students who are interested in participating in the challenge, representing both EPFL and the Cyber Group.
The term "Open Port" originates from the world of computer networking, where it refers to a communication endpoint that remains open to send or receive data. This openness facilitates the exchange of information and enables seamless connectivity, much like the philosophy behind our Open Port events.
The “Meet & Greet" is an annual networking event that brings together cybersecurity enthusiasts from various fields to discuss, socialize, and enjoy an evening of talks. The event typically features keynote speakers addressing current cybersecurity challenges, followed by interactive sessions where participants collaborate on cyber incident scenarios.
